The CVC Baseball Team will begin Metro Athletic Conference play this week when they take on the Richland Thunderducks in a three-game series. The Suns will host game one, while Richland will host games two and three.
CVC enters league competition coming off a doubleheader loss at the hands of No. 1 Tyler last week. The Suns fell in game one 2-1, and 7-1 in game two. Nick Balley scored a run off a Daniel Quintanilla hit in the first game and Titus Beachum brought home Nolyn Box in the second game.
Richland enters the series with CVC with an overall record of 6-7. The Thunderducks have lost four of their last five games with their most recent loss coming against Kansas City-Kansas CC.
Last season, Cedar Valley bested RLC in the season series, 5-1.
