The CVC Baseball Team were swept in their recent three-game Metro Athletic Conference series against the Brookhaven Bears.
The Suns jumped out to an early three-run lead in game one of the series, but would ultimately fall after the Brookhaven offense scored runs in each of the final five innings. Five different Suns crossed the plate with Nolyn Box, Daniel Quintanilla, and Billy Rogers all recording RBIs.
In game two, the Suns would fall victim again to another BHC late-rally in their 8-5 loss. Blair Hankins went 4-5 from the plate adding an RBI and a stolen base. Rogers posted a team-high two RBIs.
Cedar Valley would fall again in game three, 20-10. Grant Moore went 3-4 from the plate, adding three RBIs, two runs, a triple, and a home run. Hunter Potts had three RBIs and a home run and Nick Balley tallied two runs.
The Suns finish their 2018 season with an overall record of 22-26 (12-18 in MAC play).
