Before wrapping up Dallas Athletic Conference action, the CVC Baseball Team took a break from league action to sweep the Dallas Christian Crusaders in a doubleheader on Monday night.
In game one, CVC was victorious 9-5 with four Suns scoring at least two runs (Brennan Arroyos, Jose Castillo, Ryan Ratliff, and Billy Rogers). Castillo also had a game-high three RBIs and Ratliff added a home run. Aaron Salazar tossed three strikeouts on his way to a win from the mound.
Cedar Valley once again only needed nine runs to complete the series sweep allowing only three runs from Dallas Christian in game two. Led by two runs from Seth-Oz Inocencio, seven different Suns crossed home plate with home runs from Hugo Garcia-Gaytan and Ryan Ratliff. Garcia-Gaytan, Ratliff, and Billy Rogers each had a team-high two RBIs. Through five innings played and throwing eight strikeouts, Charles Bass earned the win from the mound.
