Suns Baseball Opens Season Jan. 31

Cedar Valley Baseball Schedule

LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's baseball team will open the season Jan. 31 at Hill College.

The Suns, coming off a program-best 38 wins last season and trip to the South Central District semifinals, will host Hesston College Feb. 16-17 in a pair of doubleheaders on the home-opening weekend. That will begin an eight-game, four-doubleheader home stretch.

Following a road trip to Southwestern Assemblies of God University Junior Varsity Feb. 26, the Suns will begin Dallas Athletic Conference play at home against Dallas College North Lake Feb. 28. The last two games of that three-game series will be played in Irving, Texas. After a trip to play East Texas Baptist University JV March 4, Cedar Valley will begin a three-game series with defending DAC champion and two-time National Junior College Athletic Association Division III runner-up Dallas College Eastfield March 6. The last two games of that series will be in Lancaster March 8-9.

The Suns will then play six games away from home March 11-20, beginning with back-to-back doubleheaders at Arlington Baptist University's JV, and culminating with the start of three-game league series at Dallas College Mountain View. The Suns host Mountain View March 22-23 to begin a five-game homestand that wraps up March 27 with the start of a DAC series with Dallas College Brookhaven.

Cedar Valley opens April with a series against DAC runner-up Dallas College Richland April 3 before hosting the Thunderducks April 5-6. The second half of conference play begins April 10 at North Lake. Cedar Valley will play four conference games at home the rest of the month, hosting North Lake twice and Eastfield and Mountain View. The Suns finish the month with two games at Mountain View April 26-27.

Cedar Valley plays at Brookhaven May 1 before hosting the Bears May 3-4. The Suns will host Richland in the final home game May 8 before playing the back end of the three-game series at the Thunderducks' park May 10-11 to end the regular season.
