Suns Basketball Dethrone Richland
The Cedar Valley Men's Basketball Team advanced to the second round of the Metro Athletic Conference Tournament after defeating the defending NJCAA Division III National Champions Richland Thunderducks, 85-75 in overtime.
Jordan Evans led the way for CVC with a team high 20 points and six assists, with Raybon Riden and Churon Thomas turning in 19 and 18 points, respectively. KeAunte Humber grabbed a game high 12 rebounds.
The Suns avenged a late regular season loss to the Thunderducks, where they fell in a double overtime thriller, 105-103.
Moving on in the tournament, Cedar Valley with face the top seeded Eastfield Harvesters this Wednesday on the campus of Eastfield College. .
