Suns Basketball to Face No. 10 Eastfield in MAC Semi-Finals

The Cedar Valley Men's Basketball Team have advanced to the semi-final round of the Metro Athletic Conference Tournament after defeating the reigning NJCAA Division III National Champions Richland Thunderducks, 85-75 in overtime.

The Suns will now face the No. 10 nationally ranked Eastfield College Harvesters on Thursday night at 8:00 p.m for a chance to move onto the MAC Championship game. 

Leading the way for Cedar Valley as they triumphed over Richland in the first round was Jordan Evans who had a team high 20 points. Evans is currently the second leading scorer in the MAC averaging 16.4 points per game. 

The Suns and Harvesters split their two meetings with each other during the regular season, with Eastfield winning at Cedar Valley 106-69 in January and CVC returning the favor winning 96-83 later that month. 

The winner of this game will advance to the MAC Championship game, which will be played on Saturday, February 20.
