Suns Basketball Fall to No. 10 Eastfield in MAC Semi-Finals

The Cedar Valley Men's Basketball Team's season came to an end in the Metro Athletic Conference Tournament semi-finals after falling to the nationally ranked No. 10 Eastfield College Harvesters, 93-89.

Jordan Evans had a team high 30 points with six assists, followed by Churon Thomas with 13 points and four assists, along with Raybon Riden contributing 10 points and four steals.

Adrian Palacios and Chantz Williams both chipped in eight points, while KeAunte Humber registered seven points and a team high ten rebounds.

After trailing the Harvesters at halftime 46-36, the Suns turned the game into a tight knit affair until the final buzzer.

With 4:01 left in the second half, a Evans jumper pulled CVC within one point trailing Eastfield, 81-80. As play continued EC held a slim margin of only 91-89 with Cedar Valley only one bucket within tying the score.

The Suns were unable to get that chance as Eastfield iced the game on a pair of free throws, winning 93-89 advancing to the Metro Athletic Conference Championship game to face North Lake College.
