Suns Basketball Adds Four Recruits for 2016

The Cedar Valley Men's Basketball Team, announced the signing of four student-athletes, who will compete for the Suns in the coming 2016-2017 season. CVC finished the 2015-2016 season, as Metro Athletic Conference Tournament Semi-Finalist.

The quartet of players suiting up for the Suns next season include Jamarion Lowe (Life School-Oak Cliff/Dallas), Jordan Downton (Mansfield Summit/Arlington), Jabeeri Fountain (Mansfield Summit/Arlington), and Tenaj Toliver (Mansfield Summit/Arlington).

Jamarion Lowe, a 6'1 guard from LIfe School Oak Cliff was a three sport athlete participating in basketball, football, and basketball. During his time time with the Lions, Lowe was named to the All-Conference Team in 2015.

Jordan Downton, is a 6'2 point guard from Mansfield Summit High School. Downton a complete floor general for MSHS in the 2015-2016 season, helped provide the team with precise sharp shooting from behind the arc and court vision.

Jabeeri Fountain, a former Concordia University (Austin) signee, is a 6'3 combo guard. Fountain gained recognition for his defensive prowess, and was therefore named the 2015 Mansfield Summit HS Defensive Player of the Year.

Tenaj Toliver, the do it all guard from Mansfield Summit HS stands at 6'2, bringing more guard depth to the Suns back court. Toliver's standout play during the 2015-2016 season earned him Offensive Player of the Year for the Jaguars.

"I feel with the signing of this group of players they're able to come in and help take our program to the next level" says Head Coach Cedric Jones. "We have a mixture of guys who can score and defend which is what you need in order to win night in and night out in our league. I can't wait to get started!"
