Suns begin 2017 with win over CYM Academy

The CVC Men's Basketball Team opened 2017 in a victorious way, defeating Creating Young Minds Academy, 113-91 over the weekend. The Suns had six players score in double figures, led by JF Thomas' 25 points and 20 rebounds.

Desmond Kennedy registered 23 points in the win, to go along with a team high five assists.

Amariye Blunson (18 points, four assists), Joshua Johnson (16 points and seven rebounds), Eric Stewart and Levin Johnson (12 points each) also scored in double figures for the Suns.

Cedar Valley will host IQ Hoops Academy this Tuesday, before they begin Metro Athletic Conference play this weekend.
