DAC Game Preview: Suns vs. Richland

The CVC Suns Basketball Team will host the Richland Thunderducks this weekend to begin Dallas Athletic Conference action. The Suns are currently on a four-game win streak and are 8-1 at home.

During the four-game stretch, the Suns have been led by freshman Larry Rusk Jr., who has registered a triple-double in each of the wins averaging a stat line of 25 ppg, 12.5 rpg, and 10.5 apg. Sophomore Alphonso Hawkins is also contributing in a big way averaging 14.7 ppg and shooting 58.3% from behind the three-point line.   

While the Suns sit in third place of the DAC standings after a victory over Loyalty Prep. Academy on Tuesday night, Richalnd is currently in second place with an overall record of 11-4 and defeated Weatherford in their last contest.

The last time Cedar Valley and Richland met was in the 2018 MAC Tournament Quarterfinals, with RLC coming away with a 93-79 victory.
