Suns Resume Hoops Season Friday, Host Three-Game Homestand Next Week

Dallas College Cedar Valley men's basketball resumes its season Friday.

Dallas College Cedar Valley men's basketball returns to the court Friday when the Suns play at Collin County Community College.

Cedar Valley (4-8) will host Southwest Assemblies of God University Junior Varsity 6 p.m. Monday to begin a three-game homestand next week. The University of Arkansas Cossatot visits Lancaster 4 p.m. Tuesday, while Creating Young Minds is on the schedule 6 p.m. Thursday.

The Suns open Dallas Athletic Conference play Jan. 21 at Dallas College Eastfield. The first conference home game is set for Jan. 28.

Isaiah Sobers was Cedar Valley's leading scorer (17.4 points per game) at the semester break. He also was leading the team in steals at 1.4 per game. Isaiah Brass is averaging 11.7 points and 1.1 steals. Jude Donovan is averaging 10 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. Keshon Kittrell is averaging 9.7 points and a team-best 5.5 rebounds per game.

Head coach Roy Gregory's team is averaging 72.8 points per game.

The Suns are coming off a win over Texas Wesleyan University Junior Varsity Dec. 12.
