Suns Enter Break with Blowout Win

EL RENO, Okla. – Dallas College Cedar Valley's men's basketball team exploded for a big road win Saturday, beating OnPoint Academy, 108-78.

The win sends the Suns into the holiday break hiatus with two 100-point plateau victories in their last three games. Cedar Valley (6-8) beat Southwestern Assemblies of God University Junior Varsity, 100-59, earlier in the week.

Five players scored in double figures for the Suns, who shot 67.2 percent from the field. Braylon Crosby scored 31 points, going 12 of 13 from the floor, and had five rebounds and two steals. Jude Donovan finished with 24 points, eight boards and three assists. Antonio Sisk had 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block. Charlie Gutierrez had 13 points and nine boards, and Armani Reese finished with 10 points, six rebounds and two steals.

Keelan Russell had a career-high 10 of Cedar Valley's 29 assists.

The Suns raced out to a 53-32 halftime lead.

Cedar Valley knocked down 11 of 19 triples, and sank all seven free throws it attempted.

The Suns shot over 55 percent from the three-point line in all three games during the week, going 2-1 in that stretch.

Cedar Valley will break for the holidays, and return to the court Jan. 4 to host Collin County Community College at 12 p.m.
