The Suns Soccer Team have now won back-to-back games after defeating Dallas City FC, 5-2 on Saturday afternoon. Five different Suns scored goals on the day.
The Suns fell behind early to Dallas City, 1-0, but that changed quickly with three straight goals coming from Diego Villanueva, Jesus Hernandez, and Julien Melingui to take the lead, 3-1. DC replied to cut the deficit down to 3-2, but the Suns answered back with a Jose Rodriguez goal to take take a 4-2 into intermission.
Yair Gonzalez sealed the game for the Suns with a goal in the second half. Melinqui had a team-high two assists, with Hernandez, Rodriguez, and Villanueva each adding an assist.
Cedar Valley returns to action on Friday for their first Dallas Athletic Conference game against Richland.
