Faye Chosen DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley men's soccer player Abdourahman Faye was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

A sophomore forward from Dallas, Faye recorded his second hat trick of the season, and had an assist, figuring into every goal in a 4-0 win over Dallas College Mountain View in the Suns' first DAC game of the year. He also had a goal in the first of two shutout wins during the week – a 3-0 victory over Southwestern Adventist University. Faye wrapped up the week with Cedar Valley's lone goal in a 3-1 loss to National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Rose State College.

Faye finished the week with five goals and an assist for 11 points, scoring in all three games. He leads the Suns nine goals and two assists this season for 20 points.

Cedar Valley (2-5-2, 1-0-0 DAC) will play at NJCAA Division III No. 1 Dallas College Richland 6 p.m. Wednesday and at Southwestern Adventist 8 p.m. Saturday.
