Yeldell Named DAC Player of the Week

Dallas College Cedar Valley's Shandrea Yeldell was named the Dallas Athletic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week.

Yeldell, a sophomore guard from Lancaster, Texas, averaged 21.5 points, six steals and 3.5 assists, while shooting 58.6 percent from the field as the Suns won both games last week. She had 27 points, going 11 of 13 from the floor and 4 of 9 from three-point range, to go along with eight steals and three assists in an 82-35 win over East Texas Baptist University's Junior Varsity. Yeldell scored 16 points, had four rebounds and four steals in a 71-52 victory at Cisco College.

Yeldell is averaging 17.6 points, shooting 50 percent from the floor, while picking up 3.6 steals, 3.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.  

Cedar Valley (4-1) will host Southwestern Christian College Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.
