Suns Volleyball Sign Huntington's Ivy

The Cedar Valley Volleyball Team announced the signing of Carsyn Ivy, a setter from Huntington High School (Huntington, TX) who played for Head Coach Ben Belshaw.

Ivy collected a number of accolades while leading the Red Devils to a 21-19 record and a Bi-District Playoff appearance.

Along with being the Team Captain, Ivy was named the All-District Co-Most Valuable Player, All-District Academic First Team, and a East Texas Volleyball Super Team Honorable Mention.

"Carsyn will joins us with a great deal of experience and strong presence on court. She can set, she can swing, and she can play defense. She is so well-rounded that she will bring leadership and depth to our recruiting class coming in and we expect Carsyn to be a player that can facilitate our game plan. We're excited that Carsyn ultimately decided Cedar Valley and can't wait to see her grow." - CVC Head Volley Coach Isabel Almendarez.

Ivy graduates from HHS in May 2016 and will join the Suns Volleyball Team for the 2016-2017 season.
