The CVC Volleyball Team was defeated by Frank Phillips and Vernon College over the weekend in their tri-match.
 
In game one of the tri-match, the Lady Suns fell in straight sets to Frank Phillips (18-25,18-25,23-25). Mallorie Brooks led CVC in kills and digs with nine and eleven, respectively. Miranda Solis registered 26 assists.
 
In the second match of the day, Vernon bested Cedar Valley, 3-0 (19-25,19-25,26-28). Solis turned in 30 assists, while three Lady Suns notched double-digit kills (Brooks - 14, Makayla Brisco - 11, Brenda Duran - 10). Along with Sarah Carrola's 27 digs, three other Lady Suns notched double-digit digs (Duran - 14, Brooks - 11, Korina Dominquez - 10).
 
Cedar Valley returns to Metro Athletic Conference play on Monday, when they travel to Richland.
