Volleyball Splits in Tri-Match Against Temple and Bryant & Stratton
The CVC Lady Suns Volleyball Team earned their first win of the season after splitting matches against the Temple Leopards (20-25,19-25,18-25) and Bryant & Stratton Bobcats in (20-25,25-11,25-18,25-10) in their annual "Back to School Blues" Tri-Match. Amaya Saenz finished with 10 kills in the Suns win over Bryant & Stratton.
In the game one sweep against Temple, Jasmine Davis had a team-high nine kills, 13 digs, and an ace. Samantha Hernandez had 18 assists and nine digs. Amaya Saenz chipped in 11 digs.
The Lady Suns didn't let the first match of the day phase them as they rallied to defeat Bryant & Stratton in four sets. Along with her team-high 10 kills, Saenz had two block assists and two aces. Timeisha Jones had an errorless game with seven kills, three block assists, and two aces. Davis posted eight kills, six digs, and three aces, with Hernandez dishing out 29 assists and six aces.
It will be a brief rest for the Lady Suns as they gear up for the Dallas Athletic Conference Fall Tournament this weekend.
