Bio

Krasi Kolarov was named Director of Athletics at Dallas College Cedar Valley in 2013.

Kolarov provides direction, leadership, budget and compliance oversight, hiring, planning, fundraising and game operations execution for the Cedar Valley athletics department. He also serves as Dallas College's seven-campus esports program director. Under his watch, the Suns have enjoyed repeated region success at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III level, while the women's basketball team advanced to the national semifinals in 2019-20. He has also directed Dallas College's seven-campus eSports program.

It is his second stint at Cedar Valley, having previously served as the head women's and head men's soccer coach from 2006-10.

Under Kolarov's watch, the Suns women's basketball team advanced to the NJCAA DIII semifinals after winning the conference championship with a perfect 8-0 record. The Suns beat Prince George's Community College in the NJCAA Division III Southeast District Championship game to advance to the national tournament. Cedar Valley beat Massasoit Community College in the national quarterfinals before bowing out in the semifinals. Latasha Roach was named Region V Coach of the Year, while the Suns had one All-American and one All-National Tournament Team selection that season. In 2022-23, Cedar Valley produced 21 NJCAA All-Academic selections -- the most in the Dallas Athletic Conference.

Cedar Valley's baseball team won a school-record 38 games in 2022, reaching the South Central District semifinals. The Suns posted the highest team grade point average (3.58) of any NJCAA DIII baseball team in the country in 2022-23. The Suns baseball team won 37 games in 2017, making a District C Tournament appearance. Two years later, the baseball team went 31-21, advancing to the District C East semifinals. The Suns men's basketball team advanced to the Metro Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals four straight years from 2013-17. The Suns advanced to the NJCAA Southwest District Championship semifinals in 2020-21.

From 2016-22, he served as the Assistant Men's Director for the NJCAA Region V, while also holding roles on sports committees for men's soccer, men's basketball and baseball.

Kolarov returned to Cedar Valley in 2013, following two years as the head women's soccer coach at Northwood University. His teams qualified for the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament in both seasons while he was at the helm, while advancing to the finals in both 2011 and 2012.

Prior to his two-year stint at Northwood, Kolarov served as the head women's soccer coach at Louisiana State University-Shreveport from 2010-11. His team went 10-7-1, qualifying for the conference finals in 2010. He coached the RRAC Offensive Player of the Year. While moonlighting as the head men's soccer coach, Kolarov guided the Pilots to its first winning record ever at 9-7, helping his team advance to the conference finals. He coached the RRAC Defensive Player of the Year. 

In his first stint with Cedar Valley from 2006-10, Kolarov's men's soccer team went 25-23-15. The Suns' conference record improved on a yearly basis. He had direct oversight of the goalkeepers. As the head women's coach, his team compiled an 8-7-4 record. His teams' grade point averages improved year after year. He also served as a physical education instructor during this stint. 

From 2000-06, Kolarov was the assistant women's soccer coach at Hill Junior College, where his teams went a combined 64-37-15 at the NJCAA Division I level. He was responsible for training goalkeepers, strength and conditioning and developing a student success program for student-athletes.

Kolarov played soccer at Hill College. He went on to play professionally for FC Spartak in Varna, Bulgaria. 

Kolarov earned his Bachelor of Science in physical education from the National Sports Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, as well as another Bachelor of Science in management from the University of Phoenix in 2008. He also earned his Master of Education in kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University in 2010.
