Bio

I would like to formerly introduce myself as the new Intramurals and Wellness Coordinator of the Cedar Valley College Suns. After moving from Miami, Florida with experiences ranging from participating and/or coaching on various levels from youth, college, and professionally, after obtaining my BS from University of Memphis my journey for expansion brought me to Dallas, TX bringing with me over 25+ years of Sports, Recreation, and Health and Wellness experience. I am certified with multiple nationally accredited sports performance and fitness organizations including NASM where I obtain my PES (performance enhancement specialist), CES (corrective exercise specialist), and PFT (personal fitness trainer) certifications to name a few. Currently in the process of obtaining my CSCS certification which is the highest possible in the Health and Wellness field, in addition to owning and operating my own business called “GotBody Elite HD Academy”, which is an communiversity enrichment program geared to bridging the gap between the community and youth whom deem themselves student-athletes. Also I have established and/or serving on the board of multiple 501c (3) non-profit organizations geared toward socio-economic burden youth and low income communities, one of which is G.O.A.L.S foundation, which is a current project I’m working on that means Goals, Opportunities, Aspirations, Learning, and Sports with the intent to spark an After-School Matters initiative. I’m excited to head this new opportunity to bring fun-filled, social-intelligence, and excitement to the campus in the form of “Suntastic Intramurals and Wellness”

VISION

Cedar Valley College Suns are proud to introduce “Suntastic Intramurals and Wellness”. Offering a variety of intramural sports and/or events to encourage teamwork and collaboration among students and staff. These recreation-based, on-campus sports teams are designed primarily for enjoyment, but often compete for titles, awards, and bragging rights. Intramural sports promote inclusion, acceptance, health, and wellness among students and staff. Study shows that those who compete and those who participate in the in the planning and organizing of intramural sporting events often benefit from taking a break from studying, coursework, and the demands of everyday life. Suntastic Intramurals and Wellness events will be available to all Cedar Valley College students, staff, and faculty. Open community events that will allow participants from the surrounding community will be also available on a TBD basis.
