Bio
Rosalyn Tindel was named Dallas College Cedar Valley athletic director in July 2025.
Tindel spent five years as an assistant women’s basketball coach at the University of Texas at Arlington from 2020-25, where she was the junior college liaison for recruiting. The Mavericks won the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Tournament. At UTA, she was the academic liaison for the women’s basketball program.
From 2018-20, she was the head women’s basketball coach at Paris Junior College. Her teams qualified for the conference tournament in both seasons. She coached two all-region and all-conference players and one honorable mention all-conference selection. She was also the kinesiology department chair at Paris in 2018-19.
From 2010-18, Tindel was the head basketball coach at three high schools in Texas. She served as the coach at Whitehouse High School from 2010-14, at North Mesquite High School from 2014-17 and at New Diana High School in 2017-18. Her New Diana team had a 3.6 grade point average, while her Whitehouse team sported a 3.4 GPA. She was the girls athletic coordinator at New Diana in 2017-18 and at North Mesquite from 2014-17.
Tindel was the head women’s basketball coach at Lon Morris College from 2002-10. Her teams qualified for the regional tournament in seven of her eight seasons. She coached 15 all-region players, 20 National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic student-athletes and one NJCAA All-American. Tindel also spent five years as the head volleyball coach at Lon Morris from 2002-06. She coached five all-region and 10 NJCAA All-Academic players. She also served as the kinesiology department chair at Lon Morris from 2007-10.
From 2000-02, Tindel was the head volleyball and junior varsity basketball coach at Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. From 1997-00, she was the girls athletic coordinator and volleyball, basketball and track coach at Kirby Math-Science Center in Wichita Falls.
Tindel earned a Master of Education in health and kinesiology from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Science in sport and exercise science from Midwestern State University in 1997.
