Christian Signs with Iowa Wesleyan

Cedar Valley College sophomore and recent graduate Austin Christian, has signed a letter of intent to continue his collegiate baseball career at Iowa Wesleyan University this coming fall.

In two seasons with the Suns, Christian split time as a starting and relief pitcher. In 23 appearances he registered a 4-4 record from the mound, registering 18 strikeouts with an ERA of 8.49 in 41.2 innings pitched.

"Austin was a great teammate with great work ethics! " says CVC Head Baseball Coach Robert Dally.

Austin was also a 2016 NJCAA Academic All-American as well as a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, to go along with his recent Associate of Arts degree from Cedar Valley.

Iowa Wesleyan University is a four year institution in Mount Pleasant, Iowa that competes in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference of the NCAA Division III.
