Roque Signs with Eastern New Mexico

The Cedar Valley Baseball Team added another student-athlete to the ever growing list of players that are continuing their education and playing careers at four year institutions, with the recent signing of Gerardo Roque (Corona, NY), who is headed to Eastern New Mexico University.

While splitting time at catcher for the Suns this past season, Roque notched a batting average of .290 in 19 games to go along with his nine hits, six runs, seven RBIs, and a team high three home runs.

"He was a great teammate with tremendous drive and motivation! Once "G" got healthy you can see the skill and athleticism he possesses" says CVC Head Baseball Coach Robert Dally.

Eastern New Mexico University is a four year institution in Portales, New Mexico, that competes in the Lone Star Conference Conference and is NCAA Division II sanctioned.
