The CVC Baseball Team swept the Jarvis Christian Bulldogs (J.V.) in their doubleheader rematch on Tuesday afternoon in Hawkins, TX.
The Suns allowed only one run against the Bulldogs in their game one, 5-1 victory. Tylor Frailey and Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Week, Alex Garcia each had a team-high two hits, with Samuel Marianos turning in two RBIs. Elijah Saldana earned the win with seven strikeouts in six innings pitched.
Game two saw an offensive explosion from the Suns in their 10-3 route of Jarvis. Team-highs included J.J. Veloz Jr. with three runs, Alex Rivera's three RBI's and two hits each from Jesus Payan, Frailey, Garcia and Veloz Jr. Ryder Lognion earned the win with six strikeouts in four innings played.
Cedar Valley will begin their Metro Athletic Conference series against North Lake College this Wednesday.
