The CVC Baseball Team claimed two wins against the Southwestern Pirates (J.V.) on Monday afternoon in doubleheader play. The Suns scored a combined 23 runs in the two games.
In Cedar Valley's 16-6 victory over Southwestern, Tylor Frailey registered a team-high four run, four RBIs, and three hits. Alex Garcia also had three hit outing. Elijah Saldana threw five strikeouts en route to the win.
To secure the sweep, the Suns edged the Pirates, 7-6. Jesse Mendoza and Jesus Payan each had two runs, with Garcia adding a team high four RBIs and three hits.
