On Thursday, the CVC Baseball Team returns to Metro Athletic Conference action to take on the Eastfield Harvesters. CVC is currently in third place in the standings and is looking to make a late-season push for the postseason.
The Suns head into this week's showdown after falling 2-1 in their last MAC slate against the North Lake Blazers.
Despite falling in games one and three against NLC, CVC claimed game two, 3-0 which led to Noah Lynch earning MAC Pitcher of the Week for his shutout performance. Lynch finished the day with 10 strikeouts and earned his fifth win of the season.
In their last meeting with EFC this season, Cedar Valley was swept in the three-game series.
