Ryan Boaz and Skyler White Commit to Newman University
The CVC Athletic Department is proud to announce that Ryan Boaz and Skyler White have committed to further their education and baseball career at Newman University.
 
During the 2018 season, Boaz had one of the top ERAs in the Metro Athletic Conference with a 4.83. In 13 appearances and starts through 82 innings pitched, the Mesquite native tossed 55 strikeouts and earned three wins on his way to an All-MAC First Team selection.   
 
In his two years with the Suns, Skyler has amassed career totals of 85 strikeouts thrown, an ERA of 7.17, in 86 innings pitched. Along with three wins and three saves from the mound, White was apart of the historic 2017 37-win Suns Baseball Team and was selected as the 2017-2018 Suns Award recipient for the Cedar Valley College Student-Athlete that most exemplify outstanding efforts in academics, athletics, and community service. 
 
Newman University is a four-year institution in Wichita, KS, that competes in the Heartland Conference and is NCAA Division II sanctioned.
