The CVC Suns Baseball Team will take on Dallas Athletic Conference leader, the North Lake Blazers this week in their third DAC series of the season. Cedar Valley currently holds a conference record of 4-2 and are in second place in the standings.
In their recent DAC series victory, the Suns claimed two out of three games against Mountain View improving their overall record to 10-5. In game two, Jesus Fraga tossed a complete game two-hit shutout on the way to Cedar Valley's 13-0 win. DAC leaders heading into this week include Jose Castillo (RBIs-25, Home Runs - 3), Ryan Foley (Saves-3), and Billy Rogers (Batting Average-.482). Rogers was named DAC Position Player of the Week on Tuesday for his second Player of the Week award this season.
North Lake has won their last six games that included sweeps over Eastfield and Richland.
During the 2018 season, the Suns finished with a 2-4 record against the Blazers.
