Baseball Defeats Eastfield in DAC Series, 2-1

The CVC Suns Baseball Team claimed two out of three games in their recent Dallas Athletic Conference series against the Eastfield Harvesters. CVC claimed wins in games one and two, before falling in game three.

In game one, Cedar Valley held off EFC, 6-5. Blake Birdwell and Ben Cross each scored two runs, with Billy Rogers notching a game-high four RBIs. William Bond was awarded the win from the mound and Noah Lynch threw six strikeouts.

CVC rode the momentum of game one to earn an 11-6 victory in game two. Rogers posted another game-high in RBIs with three and added two runs. Leo Aguilar and Ryan Ratliff also had two runs with Ratliff hitting a home run. Earning the win from the hill was Cameron Hoff tossing five strikeouts in three innings pitched.

The Suns fell in game three, 6-1. Chandler Boyd scored the lone run for CVC.

Next up, Cedar Valley will travel to East Texas to face Jarvis Christian on Monday.
