Baseball Wraps Up Mountain View Series with Two Wins

The CVC Baseball Team secured another Dallas Athletic Conference series victory after defeating the Mountain View Lions in games one and two of their three-game meeting. Cedar Valley improved their DAC record to 11-10.

Jose Castillo led the way for the Suns finishing with three runs, three RBIs and three hits in four at-bats in CVC's 15-5 game one win. Leo Aguilar and Chandler Boyd each added three RBIs with Noah Lynch earning the win from the mound tossing six strikeouts.

Cedar Valley kept the foot on the gas in game two dominating MVC, 21-8. Jamison Totten and Ryan Ratliff combined for seven runs, with Hugo Garcia-Gaytan adding three runs of his own and four RBIs. Ben Cross logged four RBIs, while pitchers Ryan Foley (four strikeouts) and Charles Bass (three strikeouts) closed the game with the win and save, respectively. 

CVC couldn't complete the sweep falling in game three to the Lions, 6-5. Totten had a team-high two RBIs with five different Suns each adding runs.

Next up, Cedar Valley will host SWC Prep for a Monday afternoon doubleheader.
