Home Sweet Home and Back to DAC
The Sun's were in the middle of a pretty grueling week. First, they spent Sunday playing back to back home games, only to do it all over again the very next day after traveling to East Texas. Still, they had yet to even face their biggest games of the week. Last week, the Dallas Athletic Conference kicked off for baseball season and the Suns were scheduled to play a three series game against the Eastfield College Harvester Bees.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Suns showed up to the J.J. Tillery Baseball Field in Mesquite, TX. They played in the bitter cold weather that hovered within the 40s, with slight drizzle here and there. Between the overloaded week they took on and the nasty weather, it all must have gotten to the Suns as they lost, 7-3. They headed back to the same field Friday morning to similar weather conditions. This time, they lost 10-2. Still, the Suns got back up to face off for their third series game, welcoming the Harvester Bees to a home game the very next afternoon. The weather just wasn't letting up and continued just as it had the entire week. However, the Suns weren't going to give up on game 7 of 7 that week. They took on Eastfield, playing much better than the day before, despite losing 27-11.
