Suns Baseball Ranks Among Nation's Leaders

LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's baseball team ranks among the nation's leaders in several statistical categories.

The Suns lead the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III in triples (19) and sacrifice flies (20). They are third in hits (330), doubles (68), stolen bases (95) and total bases (487). They rank fourth in runs (283), runs batted in (238) and extra base hits (104). The Suns have the fifth highest team batting average (.364).

Individually, pitcher Caleb Pacheco is tied for first in the country in wins (6). Landon Kinder is tied for fourth in saves (2).

Caden Robertson ranks second in triples (4), third in RBI (41), tied for fifth in home runs (8) and fifth in sacrifice flies (3). Ryan Talley is seventh in RBI (34). Matthew Marsic is ninth in walks (19) and 12th in stolen bases (16).

Cedar Valley (19-11, 7-6 Dallas Athletic Conference) is scheduled to host Dallas College Brookhaven (6-26, 1-12) Friday and Saturday at noon.
