Robertson Selected DAC Offensive Player of Week

Dallas College Cedar Valley right fielder Caden Robertson was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Offensive Player of the Week.

A sophomore from Magnolia, Texas, Robertson hit .526 (10-for-19) with three home runs, three doubles, 13 runs batted in, five runs scored, two walks and three stolen bases as the Suns went 4-1 last week, which included a three-game sweep of DAC foe Dallas College Brookhaven. In the final game of the series with Brookhaven, Robertson cranked two home runs, including a two-run shot in the bottom of the eighth inning with the Suns trailing by a run to clinch the series sweep.

Robertson is batting .467 with 11 home runs, nine doubles, four triples, 50 RBI, 43 runs scored and 16 stolen bases this season.

Cedar Valley (21-11, 9-6 DAC) hosts East Texas Baptist University Junior Varsity Monday before hosting Dallas College North Lake Wednesday to begin the second half of conference play.
