Brandon, Cueva Selected for TXNMJC All-Star Games

DALLAS – Dallas College Cedar Valley baseball players Daniel Brandon III and Jacob Cueva have been selected to the Texas-New Mexico Junior College Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Games Friday and Saturday at Dallas Baptist University. 

Brandon III, a first baseman from Tarkington, Texas, batted .390 with four home runs, seven doubles, 36 runs batted in, seven stolen bases, 32 runs scored and 21 walks. He had 13 multi-hit games, including a season-high five hits in five plate appearances, a double, home run, and drove in three runs in a 28-11 win over Dallas College Brookhaven March 31. Brandon III earned Second Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference honors.

Cueva, a transfer middle infielder from Southern Arkansas University Tech and Houston, Texas native, batted .387 with one home run, 15 doubles, 30 RBI, 10 stolen bases, 35 runs scored and 19 walks. He had 16 multi-hit games, including a season-high four hits in as many plate appearances, two doubles and a home run against Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa April 2.
