Thompson Named DAC Pitcher of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's Keller Thompson was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

A 6-foot-2 right-handed sophomore from Mount Pleasant, Texas, Thompson pitched five innings, allowing four hits, one unearned run and four walks, and struck out seven in a 7-4 win over Hesston College Friday in the Suns' home opener.

Thompson improved to 2-1 this season, and has a 0.82 earned run average and 17 strikeouts in 11 innings.

Cedar Valley (5-2) will host Redlands Community College (2-13) Friday and Saturday in a pair of twin bills beginning at noon each day.
