Bio

Justin Ray was named assistant baseball coach at Dallas College Cedar Valley in August 2021. 

He works primarily with infielders and hitters, while serving as the Suns recruiting coordinator.

Ray has operated the Texas 27s Baseball Academy since 2017. He offers hitting and fielding lessons in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and has assisted in helping several student-athletes land a home with collegiate programs. He has also worked in the private sector.

A product of Midlothian (Texas) High School, Ray played shortstop at San Jacinto College in the Houston area before transferring to Eastfield College, where he helped the Harvester Bees win the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III World Series in 2011. Ray continued his playing career at Colorado Christian University, an NCAA Division II program. In 2013, he batted .322 with six doubles, 15 RBI and four stolen bases in 46 games with the Cougars.

Ray earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Colorado Christian.
