LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley men's soccer team beat Nelson University, 2-1, Saturday to remain perfect in the first four game to start the season.
It marks the first time in program history Cedar Valley has won its first four games to start a season.
Reily Torres scored the gamewinning goal with three minutes left to break a 1-1 tie. Mahmoud Mohamoud and Willofiam Ojage drew the assists on the goal.
Cedar Valley finished with 24 shots, including 10 on goal.
After falling behind 1-0 eight minutes into the second half, the Suns (4-0-0) tied the game at a goal apiece in the 75th minute. Moustapha Kamate scored on a double assist from Ishaan Akhtar and Valente Salas
Suns goalkeeper Hector Perales stopped three shots to improve to 4-0-0.
Cedar Valley will open Dallas Athletic Conference play at Dallas College Richland 6 p.m. Wednesday.
