Thomas Picked as DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's Deja Thomas was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

A sophomore point guard from Glenn Heights, Texas, Thomas scored 17 points, had 11 steals, six assists and three rebounds in 22 minutes of a 97-54 win at San Antonio College. She was 7 of 9 from the floor, including 2 of 3 from three-point range.

Thomas is averaging 14.3 points, 6.5 steals, four assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Cedar Valley (2-2) will host East Texas Baptist University Junior Varsity 6 p.m. Tuesday in the home opener.
