Jackson-Sanders Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's Precious Jackson-Sanders was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Jackson-Sanders, a 6-foot freshman forward from Houston, averaged 17.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, a block and a steal as Cedar Valley went 1-1 last week. She had 25 points, 20 rebounds, two steals and a block in 96-63 victory over Arlington Baptist University's Red Team. Jackson-Sanders finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and a block in a 77-48 loss to Western Texas College.

Jackson-Sanders recorded her second straight double-double in the win over Arlington Baptist. She is averaging 11.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

Ranked No. 9 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, Cedar Valley (7-5) hosts Jacksonville College 6 p.m. Tuesday before taking a three-week break for the holidays.
