Cedar Valley Women's Basketball Opens Season Nov. 1
LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's women's basketball team will open the season Nov. 1 at Western Oklahoma State College.
The Suns, who advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III semifinals a year ago, will host Texas Wesleyan University Junior Varsity Nov. 5 in the home opener. Following a game at Weatherford College Nov. 9, the Suns host Western Oklahoma State College Nov. 12.
Cedar Valley will compete in the New Mexico Classic Nov. 15-16 against host New Mexico Junior College and Grayson College. After road games at Seminole State College Nov. 19 and Panola College Nov. 23, the Suns host Southwestern Christian College Nov. 25 to close out the first month.
The Suns will play four of their five games in December at home. They host Dallas Christian College Dec. 3. They also host Seminole State Dec. 7, Panola Dec. 10 and Weatherford Dec. 14 in the return trips of all three home-and-home series.
Following the holiday break, the Suns return for three straight road games at Southwestern Adventist University Jan. 9, Wiley College Junior Varsity Jan. 11 and East Texas Baptist University Junior Varsity Jan. 13.
Cedar Valley will begin Dallas Athletic Conference play at home Jan. 16 against Dallas College Mountain View. The Suns conclude January with a league game at Dallas College Richland Jan. 30.
The Suns will play two of their final three games at home. They host ETBU JV Feb. 4 before their final road game at Mountain View Feb. 6. The Suns host Richland Feb. 20 to end the regular season.
