Suns Ranked No. 4 in NJCAA DIII Preseason Poll

NJCAA DIII WOMEN's BASKETBALL PRESEASON RANKINGS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Cedar Valley women's basketball team is ranked No. 4 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III preseason poll.

The Suns earned 84 points in the 15-team poll. Rochester Community & Technical College is No. 1 with nine first place votes and 105 points. Northland Community & Technical College is second with 98 points. Anoka-Ramsey Community College is third with 91. Minnesota West Community College is No. 5 with 77.

Dallas College Richland is receiving votes.

The Suns went 19-7 last year, advancing to the NJCAA Division III semifinals, where they fell to Rochester Community & Tech, 65-48.

Cedar Valley opens the season Nov. 1 at Western Oklahoma State College. The Suns' first home game is Nov. 5 against Texas Wesleyan University Junior Varsity.
