Lady Suns Win Big Over Southwestern Adventist
In their final match of the 2015 season, the Cedar Valley Lady Suns Soccer Team defeated the Southwestern Adventist Knights, 6-0. Leading the way for the Lady Suns was Kimberly Rodriguez who scored three goals, with Michelle Chavez, Savannah Guigneaux, and Tiffany Obregon all registering two assists.
CVC's first score would come at the 3:00 minute mark from Sol Rico off of a delivered assist from Tiffany Obregon. Obregon would then assist Kimberly Rodriguez in the first of her three goals to put Cedar Valley up 2-0 over Southwestern Adventist at the 7:00 minute mark. Rodriguez would then strike again before halftime to give the Lady Suns a 3-0 advantage.
Out of the break Rodriguez would complete her hat trick off of a pass from Savannah Guigneaux to further pull away from the SW 4-0, at 50:00. Michelle Chavez delivered the final two assists of the match with Jessica Castro getting in on the scoring at 55:00 to increase the margin to 5-0 and Rico scoring the final point sealing the Lady Suns victory, 6-0.
