The CVC Lady Suns Soccer Team opened 2017 with a thrilling come back victory, defeating the Murray State College Aggies, 3-2.
The Lady Suns were held scoreless in the first half, down 0-1 to the Aggies, before Stephany Gonzalez tied the game with a goal in the 57th minute of the second half, coming off an assist from Karina Jaramillo and Mia Gauna.
CVC gained their first lead of the night, with their second goal coming from Madison Houle off an assist from Victoria Reyes at the 60th-minute mark. The Aggies responded tying the game 2-2 after being awarded a penalty kick.
Ardazal Higgs sealed the game for the Lady Suns after their third and final goal of the match, coming off an assist from Stephany Gonzalez.
CVC returns to action this Saturday for their home opener when they host Paul Quinn College.
