The CVC Lady Suns Soccer Team were edged by the Mountain View Lions, 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon. Ardazal Higgs and Mia Gauna each scored for Cedar Valley.
In the first half of action, MVC jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but an Ardazal Higgs goal tied the game at the 26th minute. Mountain View responded with a score to take a 2-1 advantage into halftime.
A CVC goal by Mia Gauna tied the game at the 63rd minute in the second half to knot the score at 2-2.
Despite spirited defense, the Lady Suns gave up the final goal to Mountain View in the 84th minute.
Stephany Gonzalez assisted on both scores for CVC.
The Lady Suns will face North Lake this Friday in Irving.
