The CVC Lady Suns Soccer Team earned their first win of the season defeating the Southwestern Adventist Knights, 9-0. Angeles Moreno went 3-3 on the day on her way to a hat trick.
Moreno started early in her striking attack, scoring the first two goals for CVC at the 4th and 17th minute mark.
Victoria Reyes, Madison Houle, and Amairany Marquez would follow suit scoring to extend the Lady Suns lead to 5-0 heading into halftime.
Ardazal Higgs scored the first two goals to open the second half pushing CVC ahead, 7-0.
Moreno scored again in the 65th minute of action to complete her hat trick and Martha Mendez scored the final goal of the game.
Abigail Pena had two saves in Cedar Valley's shutout win.
The Lady Suns will meet SWAU again this Thursday on the road.
