Higgs, Moreno, Pita, and Reyes Garner All-DAC/Region V Accolades

Ardazal Higgs, Angeles Moreno, Joseline Pita, and Victoria Reyes as released by the conference office have been selected to the All-Dallas Athletic Conference/Region V Team. The Lady Suns quartet were all named to the All-DAC/Region V Second Team.

This is the second straight season sophomore Ardazal Higgs has earned all-conference honors. Higgs played multiple positions for CVC this season and stood out at goalie where she had 88 saves (17th in the NJCAA). She also scored two goals.

Angeles Moreno was an offensive force for the Lady Suns scoring a team-high seven goals. Moreno registered a hat-trick this season in a 9-0 victory over Southwestern Adventist.

Joseline Pita was tied for second in goals on the season for the Lady Suns and also tallied two assists. Pita recorded a game-winning goal this season against SWAU.

Victoria Reyes also earned her second all-conference honor for her stellar play on the defensive side of the ball. Reyes, along with Higgs, competed and started in every game for Cedar Valley this season and led the team with four assists and scored a goal.
