Women's Soccer Begins League Play Friday at Home
LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley women's soccer team opens Dallas Athletic Conference play at home 4 p.m. Friday against Dallas College Richland.
Cedar Valley (4-1) is receiving votes in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III rankings. Richland (1-0-1) has held on to the No. 5 spot in the poll since the preseason.
Friday's league opener is the final game in a four-game homestand for the Suns, who are coming off two weekend wins in which they outscored opponents, 6-2. Cedar Valley will play its next two games at league opponents Dallas College North Lake and Dallas College Eastfield next week before returning home to host Dallas College Mountain View Sept. 26.
The DAC regular season runs through Oct. 17 when the Suns host Dallas College Brookhaven in the regular season finale.
The NJCAA South District Tournament is set for Oct. 26-28.
