Puente Named DAC Offensive Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's Briana Puente was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

A sophomore forward from Hope, Arkansas, Puente figured into the gamewinning goal in both of Cedar Valley's wins last week. She scored the gamewinning goal off a 22-yard free kick in Friday's 1-0 win at Dallas College Mountain View. Puente also assisted on the game winner in a 3-0 shutout over Dallas College Eastfield before scoring a goal in that game.

She finished the week with two goals and an assist. Her goal against Mountain View was her sixth of the season and first game winner.

Cedar Valley (9-4-1, 5-3-1) will conclude the regular season 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas College Brookhaven (9-2-1, 8-0-1 DAC).
