Cedar Valley Women's Soccer Earns All-Academic Team Award

LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's women's soccer team earned National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic Team distinction after compiling a 3.08 grade point average for the 2024-25 academic year.
It is the first time the Suns, under third-year head coach John Antonisse, collected the team academic award. In order for a team to receive the honor, it must post a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the school year, with all eligible student-athletes' grades accounting for the calculation.
Individually, Mariah Macias earned First Team All-Academic recognition after maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Bethany Lumbreras, Victory Oyoyo Peter and Olivia Reyna received Second Team All-Academic honors for carrying a GPA between 3.80 and 3.99. Guadalupe Hernandez, Melinna Maldonado and Lilianna Tapia were Third Team All-Academic recipients for posting a GPA between 3.60-3.79.
