Woods Added to Lady Suns Volleyball

The CVC Lady Suns Volleyball Team announced the signing of Jamie Woods, a middle blocker from Clarksville, TX, who played for Head Coach Keith Sims.

Woods comes to the Lady Suns a highly decorated student-athlete, despite missing her senior year at Clarksville High School with an ACL injury. With the Lady Tigers, she was an All-State selection in both volleyball (Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 2A Honorable Mention) and basketball (Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 2A First Team), along with earning 17-2A All-District and All-Region honors in both sports.

"Jamie has shown a resilient determination to compete again, even after her ACL injury", says Head Coach Isabel Almendarez. "What coach wouldn't love to have a student-athlete who is coachable, embraces adversity, and continues to strive in any program. She will provide some depth for us and we can't wait to see how she'll help us take our program to the next level."
